About Kelly
For the last two decades, Kelly has been helping business owners understand and utilize innovative marketing and branding strategies to increase revenue. After receiving a bachelor’s degree in advertising in 2002, Kelly was hired as an Account Executive at one of the first all-digital marketing agencies in the nation. In her early career, she worked on accounts for large national brands such as Jack Daniels and Marriott Hotels, but her passion was always for helping small businesses grow and thrive.
In 2012, she and her husband, Coby, launched Lawton Marketing Group, a full-service agency specializing in marketing and branding for elite financial advisors. Since that time, the company has grown to a staff of 18 people serving clients in all 50 states and Canada. They have received national and international recognition for their work, winning 15 awards and counting. In 2021, Kelly published her first book which became an Amazon best seller in its category: The Referral Magnet: Growing Your Financial Practice Through the People You Already Know.
Kelly enjoys speaking to advisors throughout the country about effective digital marketing and branding strategies, and she has a way of breaking through the clutter and making the complex simple. She’s earned a reputation for giving advisors aha moments and helping them understand the power of their digital presence and how they can use their websites, blogs, and social media platforms to build and strengthen relationships, inspire referrals and introductions, attract targeted prospects, and impact their bottom line.
Outside of work, Kelly is very active in her local community and serves on several boards. She is happily married to her husband and business partner, Coby, and they have two high school children, Dane and Aspen, who keep them busy with soccer and football.
